Hello Dheeraj, it’s a pleasure to have you on LearnWoo. Your journey into technology and digital transformation is quite compelling. Could you take us through your career path and the experiences that shaped your role as Chief Information Officer at Ramam Tech?

I started with a solid background in software development and systems engineering. I spent the early part of my career working with enterprise clients, witnessing firsthand how inefficient processes stalled growth. That’s what led me to become interested in automation and digital transformation. I progressed from hands-on technical positions to overseeing strategic roles, leading enterprise-wide implementations, and cross-functional teams. These experiences shaped my mental paradigm to think beyond tech, focusing on business results. As the CIO at Ramam Tech, today I marry deep capabilities with forward-thinking strategy to lead enduring digital transformation.

Ramam Tech operates at the intersection of automation, innovation, and digital design. What was the original vision behind building the company as a one-stop digital transformation partner rather than focusing on a single service?

Our vision has always been clear from day one: businesses should never need to juggle across multiple vendors to transform their operations. We wanted everything, automation, development, and QA, to be under one roof. This holistic solution leads to a more unified execution for better integration, quicker delivery, and greater accountability. We don’t offer piecemeal or fragmented solutions; we deliver a full transformation that actually links technology to your business’s objectives.

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a core strength of Ramam Tech. What types of business challenges do you most commonly see organisations struggling with, and how does RPA help solve them effectively?

=> For most organizations, this means the challenge of repetitive manual effort, disconnected data, and errors, all leading to slow speed-to-action. RPA solves for these by automating routine rule-based processes like data entry, reporting needs, invoicing, and customer support workflows. This drives increased accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and enables employees to prioritise strategic work over repetitive tasks. The outcome is quicker operation and quantifiable ROI.

Many businesses are interested in automation but hesitant to adopt it. From your experience, what are the biggest misconceptions or fears around RPA, and how do you help clients overcome them?

The most pervasive fear is, of course, that automation will take our jobs away. In fact, RPA complements human effort rather than replacing it. Another myth is that automation is costly or difficult. With the right plan, it can be a scalable and affordable move. We help clients to tackle these issues by fabricating small pilot projects, providing transparency in the ROI, and conducting decent training programs.

Beyond automation, Ramam Tech offers web development, mobile apps, custom software, and QA automation. How do you ensure all these services work together cohesively to deliver real business value for clients?

Integration is key. Our teams work collaboratively across all disciplines: RPA, development, QA, and design to make sure every end of the spectrum coheres together into a unified ecosystem. We have agile practices, shared KPIs, and always-on feedback. This ensures that automation, apps, and platforms are working together rather than in isolation.

Digital transformation is as much about people as it is about technology. How do you help client teams adapt to automation while ensuring employees feel empowered rather than replaced?

We view digital transformation as being about people first. We bring team members in early, train them, and position automation as a tool to support. When people realise that repetitive “tasks” have largely been replaced with meaningful work, adoption occurs organically. Riding the wave of empowerment is up-skilling and collaborating.

As CIO, how do you balance innovation with reliability—especially when implementing automation and scalable systems for businesses that rely heavily on operational stability?

Innovation must never compromise stability. We have phased roll-outs, strong testing, and governance processes. Pilot testing, monitoring, and redundancy provide reliability and let us safely bring in new technologies. Trust is earned, and stability gives that trust.

On a personal level, how has your own approach to problem-solving and decision-making evolved over the years as you’ve taken on larger responsibilities in technology leadership?

Previously, I looked at only technical solutions. Today, I lead with the business problem. I learned in leadership that communication, empathy, and strategy are just as important as technical skills. I have learned to make choices with long-term impact, rather than going for quick fixes.

For early-stage founders and entrepreneurs looking to automate their processes, what key advice would you offer before they invest in RPA or digital transformation initiatives?

Start small. Identify one or two repeating tasks you can automate, and control the process manually. Measure ROI, then scale gradually. In addition, pick partners who comprehend technology and business strategy. Automation is not only a tool, but it’s also an outcome.

Looking ahead, how do you see automation, AI, and digital platforms evolving over the next few years, and what role do you envision Ramam Tech playing in shaping that future?

Automation and AI will get smarter, proactive, and self-driven. That will change: We’ll see the proliferation of hyperautomation, AI-based decision-making, and frictionless digital ecosystems. Its Mission Ramam Tech: Be the driving force behind this movement and Shift to provide fitter, faster, smarter, scalable solutions that are human-centred, which really empower businesses, fit enough for them to stay relevant for thousands of generations.
