Hello Ganesh, it’s great to have you on LearnWoo! You’ve had a fascinating journey from being a Software Engineer to leading MoogleLabs. Can you tell what inspired you to establish MoogleLabs, and how your prior experiences shaped your vision for the company?

You have done your research clearly. I believe that I was always a CEO and founder in the making, back from my software engineering days. Working in the industry taught me so much about work ethics, work culture, and the demands of the market. So, when I saw a space in the market, I wanted to be among the first to fill that void.

While working, I noticed that people wanted artificial intelligence solutions, blockchain services, DevOps, and more but only limited companies offered such services. Rightfully so, as people were stagnant and offering artificial intelligence so quickly could truly turn their operations upside down.

So, I established MoogleLabs, an organization with the ability to adapt ingrained in its blueprint. The company was primarily created to offer services using the latest technologies at all times.

With over two decades in the IT sector, how have you seen the fields of AI/ML, Blockchain, and DevOps evolve, and how has MoogleLabs adapted to these changes?

Artificial intelligence and machine learning are old concepts that have finally come to life. Blockchain and DevOps are no different. But if I have to talk about change, nothing has transformed as significantly as artificial intelligence. DevOps and Blockchain applications have varied, and of course, there have been updates on the technology, but the sheer scale that AI and ML have changed is commendable.

And MoogleLabs has changed with it. We have monthly meetups to discuss the advancements in respective technologies with the teams. Moreover, our team members are consistently working on improving their skill sets, getting certifications, and experimenting with the latest technologies to ensure that all our clients that state-of-the-art solutions when they hire us.

MoogleLabs is focused on AI and cloud solutions. What specific market gap are you addressing, and what makes your approach unique?

Frankly, MoogleLabs is focused on partnering with other organizations in their pursuit of better output. We offer AI and cloud solutions to create bespoke AI-powered solutions based on business needs. Our approach is unique because we know how much effort and resources go into creating changes at an organizational level and therefore behave as stakeholders and not just an AI/ML company going through the work.

We pour our heart and soul into every project we do, creating innovative solutions that not only work for the client now but can also scale as the needs of the company change. I am truly proud of what we have been able to build with this thought-process behind every project we do.

What significant challenges have you faced in scaling MoogleLabs, and what strategies did you employ to overcome them?

MoogleLabs started as an idea between me and my friends. Leaving the comfort of a regular income, with a full family, relying on me was not a light decision but I took the leap. Initially, we started with a small team of AI developers, who knew what they were doing, and had the zeal to learn more. Then, as the projects started rolling in, it was time to start getting more employees on the team.

While getting more experts was ideal, we at MoogleLabs decided to diversify the expertise level at which we were hiring. From people who knew the ins and outs of the technologies to beginners eager to learn, we hired everyone. Then, mentoring began, and now we have over 250 members on our team who are offering exceptional services to our clients.

What role do you see open-source technologies playing in the future of AI and cloud computing?

Open source is essential for collaborative development, faster innovation, and wider accessibility to the latest technologies. It allows the researchers to experiment and share AI tools and frameworks. Moreover, it gives more transparency to the development process while being more flexible, customizable, cost-effective, and auditable.

I cannot say that it is the only way to work. While they are excellent for learning, companies need proprietary tools for that competitive edge. Additionally, there might be data privacy and regulation concerns when businesses decide to use open-source technologies for specific work.

At MoogleLabs, we consider a range of factors before coming to the final decision on what to use and where.

What are some strategies you recommend for young entrepreneurs to create resilient and adaptable business models in an environment of constant technological advancement?

I wonder if being a business owner in the past was easier, especially when advancements occur once in years, if not decades. Today, entrepreneurs must create business models while keeping the ever-evolving nature of technology in mind. The way I see it, businesses that want to create resilient and adaptable business models must prepare for all possibilities while staying within a budget that is acceptable to them.

Create scalable solutions, like choosing software architecture that can expand, or contract based on the needs of the business. Prepare well financially. It does not mean having a limitless supply of monetary resources from the start. However, weathering the storms of economic landscapes does require businesses to have a good chunk saved for rainy days.

Other than that, it all passes. As long as you are willing to put in the work and keep an open mindset, you will find plenty of opportunities in the world.

How do you advise young entrepreneurs on the art of pitching their business ideas effectively to potential investors?

Conviction in your product or idea goes a long way when pitching to potential investors. It is also important to remember that they are in it for the money, but they are investing in people more than the product. If they see spark, and willingness to work, along with the intent to see your vision succeed, they will invest, given they are also impressed with the product or services.

Also, being well-prepared with statistics, market trends, and why you think this would work, along with the capital you would need to make it a success, will help.

How do you maintain a healthy work-life balance while leading a rapidly growing company like MoogleLabs?

It comes easy when you can prioritize both effectively. There are days when I need to stay longer at work due to client meetings, and other responsibilities. I do that. However, for the most part, I understand the need to work efficiently for maximum output. Get the work done in time, go back to the family, enjoy the time parenting your children, and take proper rest, so you can work at full capacity the next day.

I would be lying if I said that starting and running MoogleLabs did not come with sleepless nights or long working hours. In the beginning, I had to completely surrender to my work, and my family supported me in that. However, after the initial phase, those sleepless nights have become less frequent, and thankfully, family support has only increased.

Throughout your career, what personal development practices have you found most impactful in maintaining your growth as a leader?

Listening is an underrated skill. No one talks about how important it is to talk to people, listen to their concerns, understand their place of thinking, and make decisions accordingly. Also, adaptability is necessary. Depending on the team members working on specific projects, the way of motivation may change, but the intent is always to help them improve and get the best results.

What are some of the key aspirations for MoogleLabs in the upcoming years, and how do you plan to achieve them?

Onwards and upwards is my vision for MoogleLabs. With AI becoming such a prominent part of so many organizations, they will need experts in the field to help them reach their goals. Continuing on the path of continuous learning is what will assist MoogleLabs in becoming the perfect partner. I want to grow my team, and I would like to see higher profits in the coming years.
