HTTP

The World Wide Web was founded on the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), which allows for the quick and easy loading of webpages with links. In the network protocol stack, HTTP is an application layer protocol that sits on top of the other layers and is used to convey data between networked devices. A client submits a request to a server, which then responds with a message, which is the standard HTTP flow.
