SALT keys are a cryptographic mechanism used to ‘hashing’ your password to secure the login page on your website. By doing this, the password is transformed into a meaningless string of characters that is considerably more difficult for hackers to decipher. The salt keys for WordPress are stored in the wp-config.php file on your website by default.
